History of Greece Before World War 1

Most people already know a bit of Greece. Such as Athens and his incredible contributions to art philosophy architecture and democracy. If Sparta who bred and trained each and every one of its citizens to be of the greatest warriors of the ancient world had ever seen. But what about after that. What happened after Alexander the great and the powerful Roman Empire? That  of what this article is about.

Greece before the eleventh century was the centre piece of the Byzantine Empire. But this began to change in the 13th century, when Constantinople was captured in the Fourth Crusade by invading the Latins. Although the Byzantines are able to eventually take back their city area remain a battlefield. Especially with the arrival of the Ottoman Empire.

In the Balkans, the Ottoman Turks and that Greece is soon the sights. However, the reprieve, the ottomans attacked to the East of the Mongols. When the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans and Greece start again move your reign belongs and who does not stand in the way of the Hungarians is intensified.

The Greeks were able to demand independence in 1821. Prior to that there are dozens of special regimes from rich families, Greece has been trying to steal from oppression. However, a group of Greeks in the Russian port of Odessa on the coast of the dead sea works on a large scale as they March to the South as an army with Russian support. March 25 1821 inspired by this Army led by Alexander Ypsilantis, Greece increases as one despite the fact that the mission failed. The Ottomans responded quickly but are confused by the guerrilla tactics of the Greeks.

Revolutionists in Greek is not only outnumbered but to make matters worse the revolution fight each other the most bleakest aspects when large army from Egypt to help Ottomans However even this army and the Navy can't completely stop the revolution.

England is very impressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece and England are very impressed. So England through Russia and France together to bring a large fleet to help Greece. Originally the goal was just to scare the Navy of the Ottoman Empire, however, instead they engage the Ottoman fleet and win a great victory, sinking 60 ships and killing 8,000 troops of the enemy with little loss. This is a turning point for the Greeks.

But the war lasts 5 years Greece becomes a nation of himself and his first king is a seventeen-year-old boy Otto of Bavaria. Although for the most part, Otho  's (may be spelled, Otto Otho or Ottone liveliness but usually in English) is a good reign of the judges. But the beginning and end is not so good. Although he accepted a Constitution he tries constantly to bring Greece back to an autocracy and he eventually disposed of.

The next King is a Danish Prince, and he is crowned George i. George the first priority is to bring all that was once Greece back under Greek control. In a sense he continues the Greek war of independence. He is able to take several of the Greek islands including Crete, in addition to Macedonia in the North. He does this through a mix of war and politics.
